certifications

As a healthcare professional traveling from assignment to assignment, it is often difficult to find CPR and ACLS classes when you are on the go. For that reason, Randstad Healthcare's required documents team wants you to be fully informed about your options when it comes to renewing your CPR or other certifications. Despite many online companies claiming otherwise, there are absolutely no options for complete renewal of your CPR/ACLS/PALS certification(s) on the internet.  Please beware of online training companies that claim to offer CPR and ACLS certification that is in compliance with American Heart Association guidelines exclusively by completing their online course.

According to the American Heart Association (AHA) any CPR or ACLS recertification courses must include a hands-on skills demonstration portion before a card can be issued. However, as a busy on-the-go healthcare professional, we understand the difficulty of trying to schedule a recertification course while on the road so we try to make this as easy as possible. You can take advantage of the American Heart Association’s flexible and convenient eLearning course to renew your credential online. Simply visit the American Heart Association website to complete the cognitive learning portion for both your CPR and ACLS certification (Part I). Once complete, print your certificate of completion and within 30 days demonstrate your skills with an American Heart Association CPR/ACLS instructor. Skill demonstrations for both BLS and ACLS renewal take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once your skills have been demonstrated the instructor will issue you a new card.
