Steve McMahan, President

Steve McMahan is President of Randstad Healthcare, where he is responsible for the strategic and tactical leadership of the company's physician, travel nursing and allied health staffing businesses. Steve joined Randstad in 2010 as president of the Accountants International and Human Resources International operating companies and subsequently served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Services for Randstad Professionals and President of Randstad Finance & Accounting and The Mergis Group prior to assuming leadership of Randstad Healthcare.

Steve has over 25 years of staffing experience. Prior to joining Randstad, Steve spent a decade with Kforce where he focused on the technology and finance & accounting verticals. During that time, Steve ran the company's largest operating segment as Group President and served as Chief Sales Officer where his responsibilities included the National Accounts, National Recruiting Center, National Champion and Marketing organizations. He also launched the company's healthcare vertical and played a key leadership role in the integration of several large acquisitions.

Steve got his start in staffing with Source Services Corporation, where he served as Managing Director of the company's largest and most profitable market. He began his career with IBM after graduating with honors from Boston College. Steve is based at Randstad Professionals’ U.S. headquarters in Woburn, MA.

Cynthia Kinnas, Executive Vice President

Cynthia Kinnas founded Randstad’s travel nurse staffing company (formerly known as Clinical One) in 1993 and today oversees Randstad Healthcare’s recruitment (nursing, advanced practice, case management, and allied health) and operation functions.  Having begun her career as a healthcare recruiter, Cynthia is acutely aware of the challenges both healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals face during staffing shortages. Her focus is ensuring that exceptional support is being provided to deliver a high quality experience to our clients and candidates so that they can focus on delivering optimal patient care in their communities.

Cynthia is highly regarded in the healthcare staffing industry and her comments and insight are regularly sought out by national healthcare publications and industry associations. Cynthia has been quoted in industry publications including, Staffing Industry Analysts, Healthcare Traveler Magazine, Modern Healthcare, Cath Lab Digest, and Group Practice Journal. She has also presented at industry events including the 2006 through 2011 SIA Healthcare Staffing Summits.  She is a Founding Board member and current President of NATHO (National Association of Travel Health Organizations) and is Past Chairman (2013) of the American Staffing Associations Healthcare Policy Council. She was recently recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts in “The Staffing 100” report.

Cynthia received a BA in International Relations from U.S. International University-Europe in the United Kingdom and has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare staffing industry.

Jay Sage, Vice President of Business Development

Jay Sage joined Randstad Healthcare in 2010 as Vice President of Business Development, bringing with him over 12 years of staffing industry experience with a heavy focus in MSP sales, strategic solution design, implementation and delivery.  In addition to healthcare, Jay has experience in industrial, clerical, legal, F&A, and contact center verticals.  He also has 5 years of clinical occupational therapy experience as a COTA, and spent 4 years on active duty in the U.S. Army.  Jay’s broad-based experience, tireless customer service approach, strategic operations expertise, and effective communication style have repeatedly resulted in his clients leveraging him as a trusted advisor and business partner.  Jay has an A.S in Occupational Therapy and a B.S. in Business Management.

Aram Svajian, Vice President of Recruitment, Nursing and Allied Health

Aram Svajian brings over 17 years of experience to Randstad Healthcare where he currently serves as Vice President of Recruitment for the nursing and allied health division. Responsible for the delivery and deployment of healthcare professionals, Aram has a unique ability of creating successful strategies aligned with the client’s need by identifying the target labor pool and executing the strategy. He is a hands-on leader with a range of cross-functional expertise and successes in increasing revenues and profitability, improving customer service through satisfying and retaining clients, building and developing high performance teams, and strengthening operational effectiveness. He is an advocate for the creation and maintenance of value through continuous customer service and dependability combined with sharp instincts for capitalizing on industry and market trends. Aram received his M.B.A in Finance in 2009 from Pepperdine University, in Malibu, CA.

Jackie McGuckin, Vice President, Account Management, Physician Staffing

Jackie McGuckin brings over 23 years of healthcare experience to Randstad Healthcare where she serves as Vice President of Account Management for the Physician Staffing Division.  Since joining the company in 2008, Jackie has developed lasting relationships with physicians and clients, in large part due to her ability to combine cost containment with quality improvement and customer service. She has continually provided pivotal leadership and growth strategies that has contributed to expanding Randstad Healthcare's national client base.

Prior to joining Randstad Healthcare, Jackie dedicated 13 years to patient care as an x-ray tech and an additional 10 years as Director of Operations for one of the largest radiologist groups in greater Cleveland, Ohio. She is able to use her medical experience and knowledge to successfully manage the staffing needs of some of Randstad Healthcare's largest clients. She is a Registered Technologist and holds an RTT coding certification. Jackie attended Bowling Green State University.  

Melissa Knybel, RN, BSN, Vice President of Operations

Melissa is the Director of Operations at Randstad Healthcare and responsible for the overall management of the Administration, Quality Assurance, and Housing departments. One of her biggest successes was achieving Joint Commission certification for Health Care Staffing Services in April 2005 for the then Travel and Case Management divisions, and later company-wide certification in May 2006. In addition to working closely with all of the Operations managers, Melissa also coordinates technology development and improvement projects, evaluates and monitors all workers compensation claims and medical malpractice issues, works with the Legal department to evaluate client contracts, and provides oversight to Human Resources on all legal personnel issues.

Melissa has over 10 years of experience in the medical staffing industry and over 10 years of clinical nursing experience. Prior to joining Randstad Healthcare, Melissa was employed as a Registered Nurse working in a variety of settings including a level one trauma center, a community hospital setting, and as an instructor for an Associates Degree RN Program. Her experience includes Intensive and Cardiac Care Units, Emergency Department, Recovery Room, Radiology, as well as a Clinical Instructor. Her clinical nursing experience has proven to be a major asset to her position as Director of Operations for Randstad Healthcare.

Melissa received a Diploma in Nursing from Baystate Medical Center School of Nursing and went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts.  Melissa is a member of the Joint Commission Advisory Board for Health Care Staffing Services, sits on the Clinical Executive Committee of NATHO, the National Association of Traveling Healthcare Organizations, and is an active member of the Health Care Policy Council of the American Staffing Association.

Chris Corum, Vice President, Technology

Chris Corum joined Randstad Healthcare in 2003 and oversees technology, systems and operations.  Chris has nearly 20 years of operational and system based experience within the healthcare community and, in addition, has worked as a consultant for numerous Fortune 500 companies across several industries. Chris has crafted strategic processes that ensure efficiencies across multiple operational departments within our organization. His unique blend of industry knowledge, team building skills and IT innovations have continually contributed to Randstad Healthcare's ability to remain a market leader. Chris expertly aligns technology improvements with business objectives to deliver performance enhancements to our business systems. He has held a crucial role in developing a fully integrated system for Randstad Healthcare.

Chris is a proud United States Army veteran and an alumni of both Kent State University and University of Maryland (Europe).
